Overview
The BIOTRACE Auto Read 20 Steam Biological Indicator (BI) is a self-contained biological indicator for monitoring steam sterilisation (autoclave) cycles. It gives a readout as quick as 20 minutes on the BIOTRACE Auto Read Pro or BIOTRACE Auto Read Mini reader, which shortens instrument turnaround time. A Type 1 chemical indicator on the label turns from pink to brown once the BI has been processed, so processed and unprocessed indicators can be told apart at a glance. It has a 2-year shelf life at recommended storage conditions.
It is also supplied as a process challenge device (PCD) kit. Each kit holds a BIOTRACE PCD self-adhesive record card, a VERISURE Steam Type 5 migrating integrator and a BIOTRACE Auto Read 20 Steam BI. The BI is packed 50 to a box, 2 boxes to a case (73100), and the PCD kit 25 PCDs and 25 controls to a case (73130).
