Overview
V. film is a sterile, see-through polyurethane dressing cut with a slit and handling tabs so it can be placed quickly over an intravenous line. It holds the cannula in place and forms a barrier over the insertion site while letting nurses watch for redness or leakage. It is a routine ward and ICU consumable for line care.
